Jack Evans Police Headquarters
Architect: Philips Swager & Associates
New construction of the Jack Evans Police Headquarters Building, the home of the Dallas Police Department. The six-story, 350,000 SF building serves primarily as administration offices for the department with some specialized police functions such as a physical evidence laboratory and a Police Museum. The facility was the first to be constructed by the City under the LEED program and is operational 24 hours a day.
During construction, S&P ensured compliance with LEED requirements by recycling all excess materials, keeping ductwork covered at all times, using special air filters to reduce dirt and point particle contamination, vacuuming all tracks before drywall installation, and monitoring and testing air quality on a regular basis.
