52,500 SF, new nurse training facility at Fort Sam Houston. The building includes space for an anesthesia classroom/field anesthesia room, two mock operating rooms, two large operating training rooms, eight operating and three small technical classrooms, two medical laboratories, a large sterile core teaching area, a sterile assembly laboratory, a DECON laboratory, an ISS OR, medical gases, as well as a student lounge and medical staff, counselor, administration and support offices. The infrastructure also includes medical gas systems.

Foundation work included excavation of expansive fill, replacement with structural fill, deep foundation support in the form of concrete piers ranging from 35 to 52 feet, structural concrete grade beams, and structural concrete double-tees. The building structure included structural steel, metal stud framing, sheathing, waterproofing, masonry veneer, Vistawall curtain wall system, standing seam and modified bitumen roofing.
