Cibolo Green Elementary School

San Antonio, TX

Owner: North East ISD
Architect: Pfluger Architects

LEED Gold®

Cibolo Green Elementary School was one of the first ‘green’ schools in the North East Independent School District and the greater San Antonio area. S&P built the environmentally friendly and energy-efficient school to meet LEED Silver standards, which include requirements such as improved air quality systems, the use of recycled and non-toxic building materials, and energy-saving systems throughout. Cibolo Green Elementary is the 18th LEED building constructed by S&P.

The $27.3 million facility offers students an upbeat, inviting environment, with nine different wall colors, corridor flooring with multi-colored themes and patterns, and emphasis on increased natural light that bathes the atrium, common areas, cafeteria and classrooms. S&P constructed many unusual features, including learning centers throughout the facility with instructional viewing windows into mechanical rooms as well as in-wall windows that allow students to view labeled building components such as steel columns, metal studs, insulation, piping and wiring.

Garrett J. Sullivan - North East ISD

NEISD is extremely satisfied with the new 122,500 SF elementary school facility that S&P delivered for our District; they continue to exceed our expectations for overall construction quality and are an outstanding general contractor.
