This new Army Reserve Center (ARC)  provides state-of-the-art training facilities for reserve members from Houston and the surrounding area. The 83,000 SF project includes a 37,000 SF training building, 16,000 SF maintenance shop and an unheated storage building. The new facilities are constructed of reinforced concrete pier foundations and floor slabs, structural steel frames, masonry veneer walls, and standing seam metal roof. The two-level ARC training building includes classrooms, offices, weapons vault, locker rooms and assembly hall with kitchen. The maintenance shop is a pre-engineered metal building with several bays for repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. It includes a 10-ton capacity overhead crane that spans 90 feet.
