When you do things right, everyone sleeps better at night.
Construction is a dangerous business. No one takes the inherent potential risks or every available safety precaution more seriously than everyone at Satterfield & Pontikes.
As standard operating procedure, all employees are required to attend safety training based on OSHA rules and regulations. Regularly instituted classes, held in English and Spanish, include excavation, fall protection, scaffolding and both the 10- and 30-hour OSHA training instruction courses. We produce training and safety programs for every job, designed around OSHA standards and commonly accepted safe practices in the construction industry. These programs are also included in all subcontracts and strictly enforced.
Our zero-tolerance policy for taking chances on the job explains our latest, and perhaps proudest, milestones. We achieved a record 7.5 million man-hours with no lost-time incidents. In addition, Satterfield & Pontikes is an EPA Lead-Safe Certified firm.
Additionally, the Associated General Contractors (AGC), AGC Texas Building Branch, and Associated Builders and Contractors have regularly honored us with awards for our unwavering commitment to safety.
