With more than 24 years of experience in the construction industry, Ken Smith’s leadership is a major contributor in the success of S&P’s Houston business unit. His broad base of knowledge has been gained through successful completion of educational, commercial, municipal, retail, and detention projects.
His responsibilities include customer relations, strategic planning and budgeting, ensuring profitable company performance, and work acquisition, as well as recruiting, training, supervising and reviewing performance of personnel. In addition, he provides solutions to construction and management issues and ensures timely project completion consistent with expected quality and safety standards.
Among his many successes, Mr. Smith directed S&P operations for the NASA LEED Office Facility for Transition project at the Johnson Space Center, which earned numerous awards and achieved LEED Platinum certification, one of the few buildings in Texas to achieve that elite designation. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
