Safety is our corporate philosophy at S&P.

Safety training classes based on OSHA rules and regulations are mandated for all employees. Regularly instituted classes include Excavation, Fall Protection, Scaffolding and both the 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA training instruction courses. All classes are held in both English and Spanish.

Training and safety programs are produced for every job. The program is designed around OSHA Standards and commonly accepted safe practices in the construction industry. The plan is also included in subcontracts so it can be contractually enforced.

In 2008, Satterfield & Pontikes reached a milestone in its corporate pursuit of being the safest contractor possible: five years, five million man-hours and no lost-time accidents. This achievement required and extraordinary amount of commitment, and S&P has received recognition from Associated General Contractors (AGC), AGC Texas Building Branch, and Associated Builders and Contractors.
