A Track Record of Leadership and Success
Since its inception in 1989, Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. has used a customer-centric approach to business and cutting-edge technology to become one of the leading construction companies in the Gulf Coast region. Led by President and CEO George A. Pontikes Jr., S&P has more than 450 employees operating from offices in Texas and Louisiana. S&P has successfully completed more than 400 projects, from new theaters to renovations of New Orleans schools ravaged by Hurricane Katrina.
Helping the Customer see Results
S&P specializes in General Contracting, Construction Manager at Risk and Design-Build delivery methods. Our clients vary across a wide spectrum: education, institutional, commercial, entertainment, manufacturing, retail, government, disaster relief and airport support facilities. What does not change is our objective: to complete the job to the owner’s satisfaction, no matter what. S&P is a performance-driven company that takes pride in delivering quality projects safely, on-time and in-budget.
Unlike many general contractors, S&P self-performs significant portions of its work, including concrete and site work, masonry and rough carpentry. Our project management teams bring a wealth of expertise to each project, including precise scheduling and the ability to respond rapidly to the owner’s needs. S&P also places an emphasis on safety, which has paid off in the form of more than five million man-hours worked without a lost-time accident over the past half-decade.
Focus on the Future
S&P remains ahead of the curve by being one of the first in the industry to implement new technologies and showing a commitment to sustainable building. S&P uses three-dimensional computer modeling and Business Information Modeling (BIM), allowing for more rapid phased building, exact scheduling and the ability to spot possible problems well in advance—saving the owner time and money. S&P understands the need for energy-efficient construction and has been one of the leaders in the implementation of the U.S Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program in its projects. As S&P continues to expand, it will do so with a focus on sustainable building.
